Las Vegas Puts Ohio State, TCU, Alabama and Auburn With Best Odds To Win College Football Playoff

The Ohio State Buckeyes, TCU Horned Frogs, Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers have the four best odds to win this season’s National Championship, according to the oddsmakers in Las Vegas.

Ohio State leads the way at 2-1, with TCU trailing close behind at 6-1. Alabama is listed at 13/2, while Auburn is right behind them at 12-1. The only team Las Vegas and the preseason AP poll disagreed on was Auburn, who was given the fourth-best odds to win it all, but is ranked sixth to start the season by the AP. Baylor and Michigan State are ranked higher in the AP poll, at four and five, respectively.

Of course, the Buckeyes are the defending national champions, upsetting Alabama in the semifinal before putting the finishing touches on their championship run with a decisive win over Oregon.

With the season starting soon, let’s take a look at the most expensive game for each of the top four teams in terms of secondary market ticket prices from

Ohio State Buckeyes: 10/17/2015 | Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Penn State Nittany Lions | Ohio Stadium | Average Price: $345.39 | Get-in Price: $131

The most expensive Buckeyes tickets on the secondary market are for their game against Penn State in October, having an average price of $245.39 and a get-in price of $131. Penn State almost ruined the Buckeyes’ title hopes last season, as they narrowly fell to the eventual champs in double-overtime at Beaver Stadium. As a result, their upcoming encounter will undoubtedly have everyone watching.

TCU Horned Frogs: 11/27/2015 | TCU Horned Frogs vs. Baylor Bears | Amon Carter Stadium | Average Price: $300.88 | Get-in Price: $112

When the Baylor Bears travel to Fort Worth to face the Horned Frogs, it may be the most important game in the history of the TCU program. Even though the Big 12 conference schedule is difficult in general, TCU has nightmares of letting last year’s game against Baylor slip away late. Fans of the program shouldn’t miss this epic Big 12 clash and can help anyone attend. Dallas hotels start from $49 per night for those looking to get to Amon Carter Stadium.

Alabama Crimson Tide: 10/3/2015 | Georgia Bulldogs vs. Alabama Crimson Tide | Sanford Stadium | Average Price: $597.44 | Get-in Price: $276

Alabama owns the most expensive average ticket price out of any of these four teams with their clash against Georgia. Tickets are currently going for almost $600 on average, with a get-in price of $276. Georgia and Alabama have not met in the last two seasons, so the anticipation for this affair will only grow as it gets closer to game day. The cheapest airline tickets are listed on Hipmunk for those looking to attend.

Auburn Tigers: 11/28/2015 | Auburn Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide | Jordan-Hare Stadium | Average Price: $511.03 | Get-in Price: $268

Another chapter in the Iron Bowl takes place at Jordan-Hare Stadium, where the craziest ending between these two powerhouses took place two seasons ago. With an average price of $511.03 and a get-in price of $268, this is one of the most sought-after tickets for the entire college football season, and with good reason.
